These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to and use of the Areopagus decision intelligence service (the "Service"), operated by Athletix, New York ("Athletix," "we," "us," or "our"). By submitting a brief, making a payment, or otherwise using the Service, you ("Customer," "you") agree to these Terms.
Areopagus produces research and decision-support reports (including The Council, The Desk, Athlete Services, and related products) using a combination of automated research and analysis tools and human quality review. Reports are informational in nature and are intended to support, not replace, your own judgment and any professional advice you may need.
The Service does not provide legal, tax, financial, medical, compliance, or investment advice, and no report should be treated as such. You are responsible for independently verifying any information material to a decision and for obtaining licensed professional advice where appropriate before acting on a report.
Each request is scoped and priced before paid production begins. Payment is processed securely through Stripe at the time of order; we do not store your full payment card details. Production of your report begins only after payment is confirmed.
Completed reports pass through a human quality review before being released. Once approved, you will receive a secure, unique delivery link to view and download your report. Do not share your delivery link, as anyone with the link can access the report.
Refund eligibility is governed by our Refund Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
Upon full payment, you receive a license to use the delivered report for your own internal business, personal, or organizational purposes. Athletix retains all rights, title, and interest in the underlying Areopagus system, methodology, prompts, workflows, and any non-customer-specific materials. Reports may not be resold or redistributed as a standalone commercial product without our written consent.
You are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the brief and any materials you submit. Do not submit information you are not authorized to share, or that is unlawful, infringing, or contains another person's confidential or sensitive personal data without a lawful basis for doing so.
The Service and all reports are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to accuracy, completeness, merchantability, or fitness for a particular purpose. Research is grounded in publicly available and credible sources at the time of production but may not reflect the most current information available at the time you read the report.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Athletix's total liability arising out of or relating to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific report giving rise to the claim. Athletix is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages, including lost profits or business decisions made in reliance on a report.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in New York.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
